Click on various items on the graphic to read a description, or use the following list:

Right-click tree menu

(left) A lot of power is available in the "right-click menu" that appears when you right-click on an item in the tree view.

URL Edit Box

The URL Edit box is the box at the top of the dialog where you can type in a URL to visit.  This edit box will be filled in automatically if you choose a URL from the Favorites Menu.

Favorites Menu Button

This button appears to the right of the URL Edit Box and has three periods ("...") on it.  Clicking on this button accesses the "Favorites Menu" from Internet Explorer and selecting one of the items automatically fills in the URL Edit Box and opens the URL in the tree view.

"Go" Button

The "Go" button instructs WebSnatcher to download the URL in the URL Edit Box and display it's links in the tree view.  Use this button to refresh a URL as well.

Download Folder Button

Use the Download Folder Button to set the folder where files will be downloaded to.  This feature is also available in the "Folders" tab of the options dialog box.

Web Page Tree View

A lot of functionality is available through the Web Page Tree Control (below).

"Options" Button

The "Options" button displays a dialog with various "tabs" where you can tweak the behavior of WebSnatcher.

Quick access to your download folder button

This small button opens your download folder in Windows Explorer

"Help" Button

The "Help" button displays the HTML help system.

"Stop" Button

The "Stop" button stops an in-progress download as soon as it can.  This is normally very responsive.

"Download" Button

The "Download" button begins the download process.  It checks to see if any items are checked and downloads them, or, will download the current file that is selected.

"Close" Button

The "Close" button closes WebSnatcher.  If a download is in progress, WebSnatcher will prompt you if you really want to exit.

LCD current byte count display

Displays the number of bytes that have been downloaded for the current file

Current file progress indicator

This progress control displays the current download progress on the current file being downloaded.  The file name appears above the progress control and a byte count appears to the right.

Skip file button

Clicking this button during a download will stop the downloading of the current file and move on to the next

Tree View

Refer to the graphic on the left.

WebSnatcher's right-click menu lets you download any item with a single-click.  Downloading a web document throught the right-click menu allows you to download as many levels beneath that web document as you wish.  You can also set up filters that tell WebSnatcher what files you're interested in.

For more information see the right-click menu description.

For more selective downloading, you can check them by using the checkbox that appears to the left of the item icon, and then right-click and choose "Download checked items".  By holding down the <CTRL> key and clicking a branch, you automatically select all items underneath that branch.  However, if you haven't expanded the branch, the items will not download; this is a safety feature.  Use the multi-level download dialog feature for this where you have more control over downloading multiple levels.  By holding down <SHIFT> you can select multiple adjacent items.

Each file has it's own icon that helps to identify the type of file that it is.  A red check appears next to files that have been downloaded.
