Other Options

This page is for miscellaneous options. The first one lets you change the "agent name". The agent name is the name of the application that is accessing a Web Server. You can change this from "WebSnatcher" to anything else you wish if you want to disguise WebSnatcher from a given server.

Other options include the generation of a log file. To view errors that occur in WebSnatcher offline, be sure that this option is set. There is also a check box that can suppress or "Show errors in message boxes". If you turn this option off, WebSnatcher will silently handle errors and not interrupt the downloading process.

Another option is viewing only unique links. Different web pages can display the same links over and over infinitely. To hide all these redundant files, check the radio button to "Show only new dependencies". This is the recommended setting.
