File Types, Filters Options

The File Type Options page allows you to filter on certain file types.  For example, if you only want to see audio files, you check "ONLY show the following file types" and then check the "Audio" check box.  You can restrict the filter further by customizing the extensions that you're interested in.  See the "Customize File Extensions" below for more information.

Note:  In order to see links to other websites in the tree view, you need to ensure that web page document types (htm, html, etc.) are enabled.  However, when applying a filter to a download, it's not necessary to specify web documents.  These files are read and parsed automatically in the background.

The "Customize" buttons present a "Customize File Extensions" dialog that allows you to remove and add various pre-defined extensions. Moving extensions from the "Unselected" list to the "Selected" list (using the arrow buttons or simply double-clicking) allows those extensions to be viewed when filtering on files of this type.

You can also define your own extensions using the "Add..." button, which presents a simple dialog for inputting the extension of your choice.  WebSnatcher will remember the selections you make.
