Willow Lakes, in the basin
between East Thorn and Red Peak,
beneath the impressive Zodiac Spires
Willow Lakes is actually a very popular spot to hike to despite the one-way 6-8 mile hike, and with good reason. This set of lakes is bordered to the west by a high wall of spires known as the "Zodiac Spires" and is one of the prettiest spots in the Gores. I met about 3-4 groups of hikers and fishermen when I took this picture and they all had made the long hike from the Rock Creek trailhead, about 7 miles away.
