(May '08):  Standing on the summit of the Matterhorn. Michael and I climbed the peak from the classic original route, the Hornli Ridge, the striking ridge as famously viewed from the town of Zermatt, Switzerland. The climb was harder than we'd anticipated, but still reasonable. We had a lot of snow and ice on the route which added to the challenge. In fact, the night before, a storm moved in and dumped a lot of new snow on the route. My website needs a facelift. Sometime in the next few months...
